ABC - Learn Alphabet 1.2

Description

In order for the app to be installed on your device you just need to give it permission to Photos, Media and files. As soon as you open the app you will be introduced to a very simple and brightly colored interface. On the main page you will find two games and two redirects to other games of the developer. The interface is so simple that in fact there is no settings page or anything else to compromise the simplicity of it.

Even though the game has only four lives you can select the wrong letter as many times as you wish. You lose one life per level if you get a letter wrong and if you lose all lives you can just start over. However, there is no beginning to the game and there are no "levels", if you lose all lives you just go on with the game. The game appears to be endless, so the lives are just there to encourage kids to focus; otherwise they are just some heart symbols.

The Alphabet learning mode is a very fun and easy way of learning the alphabet. You start with the letter "A" and you go through the entire alphabet by tapping the arrow that points to the right. You can hear the pronunciation as many times as you wish by tapping the current letter.

The Alphabet quiz mode is a way of practicing what kids have learned through the alphabet learning mode. It presents you with four letters and tells you to select a specific one using voice. If you get the wrong letter it tells you which letter you selected and which one you should choose.

Pros

• The alphabet app is very simple to use and play with thanks to the simple interface.
• The interface is colorful and filled with joy. There are rainbows and beautiful pictures everywhere you are within the app.
• The letters are pronounced by a person and the letters are very easy to hear and understand.
• Very simple but creative games such as the learning and quiz mode.

Cons

• There are ads that are being displayed on the main page of the game and there doesn't seem to be a way of removing them. Even purchasing the app is not an option.

• There are also two colorful buttons that take you to the Google Play Store. The only obvious reason behind this is that the developer of the app wishes to promote some of his other apps.

Conclusion

The App is a great way for kids to learn the alphabet fast and have fun while doing it. The app might have some downsides but that won't stop it from being a great educational application.
